Ch-ch-changes

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Starting April 1st (conveniently also April Fool’s Day), this BLOG will be reborn as a weekly podcast, which will be posted on the Sunday or Monday of each week. This might come as a shock to everyone, seeing as I have been a published writer for the last 16 years, but I feel that the societal importance of the written word is diminishing into paragraph sized bytes (a-la USA, gasp, Today). Rather than write a blog that caters to the quick-fix, quick-read mentality, I’m opting to devote my energy to the spoken word (not like I’ll be reading poetry about blood and tears at local coffeeshops or anything, just podcasting). It is my intention to explore such multimedia avenues professionally as well–so here’s to a step in the right direction.

Friday, March 9th, 2007

As you can tell, this blog is on a major sabbatical. After four years of committed chronicling I am having to stop and rethink what I want to do with the blog. Please be patient. I believe we do our best creative work when the muse decides to pay us a visit. While I am not holding my breath, I trust that some kind of epiphany or inspiration in this regard will hit one of these days. Until then…
