Maya Calendar 2012 Wheel and the next 2011 Shift According to Carl Johan Calleman

Your new life starts today: November 7, 2009, the Sixth Night

The above wheel image has been popping up in my dreams lately (if you could actually call them that). Since I was a child I have been beset by “horrible” (from a child’s perspective) nightmares from which I found it difficult to awake. The “nightmare” part is the sense of being out of control and stuck in the ‘dreamland.’ When I finally awake from my deep dreams, my eyes are open but I’m still dreaming. In other words, imagery is still in front of my face for up to a minute. Carlos Castaneda would have dubbed me a “dreamer” rather than a “stalker” (two delineations describing different ethereal talents).

The last couple of ‘dream bleeds’ I’ve had have included what I thought were traditional mandala images. But when I came across the old Mayan wheel featured above, I realized they were in fact ancient Mayan glyphs, perhaps summoned from the Collective Unconscious and into my consciousness in a quasi-dream state.

All of this digression, I believe, is relevant to the energies of today–which I will get to in the paragraphs below. Whatever your latent “powers” (often disguised as curses) are, they are beginning to expand and unfold as humanity moves towards its final evolutionary state. It matters not if you are an insurance salesman, a painter or a veterinarian. Vocation is not calling!

I am constantly reminded of this as I speak with experts and maestros who secret seek another outlet (an outlet of the soul?) The other day when I interviewed talented DJ Garth Trinidad he mentioned wanting to go back to doing illustration and creating art (he has been a DJ for a good 15 years).

My good friend George Pitts–formerly the photo editor of the now defunct Vibe magazine–would recount how awe-struck his co-workers were when he would, on occasion, write an article. The man is a gifted visualist but he also had a way with words–the latter a ‘backseat’ talent that he didn’t tap into enough (though I think he is pursuing this more now). In any case, there must be something in the ether because I found myself spontaneously writing the lyrics and chords to a song on guitar the other day. I’m now working on it with my neighbor who has a music studio in his house.

With everybody out of work, there is even more room (and time) for this kind of outside-vocation exploration. But it’s not just some economically-fueled micro-trend. To quote my frantic Korean college dorm suite-mate when he was having a pot panic attack: “Something is happening here!” And, as I see it, it relates to the Mayan Calendar and the expansion of consciousness to its ultimate, final evolutionary state. The general consensus is that that state is achieved on December 21, 2012 (the end date of the Mayan Long Count calendar).

Swedish author, scientist and Mayanist Carl Johan Calleman–who I stayed with in Sweden back in 2002 when my Mayan birthday was on the Summer Solstice–is of a different opinion. Coincidentally–or not–this is when I fully “awoke” to the calendar and the aformentioned theory. I had had my Kundalini awakening a few months before when I met my twin soul Joost (who is now a dear dear friend and will forever be my spiritual doppleganger). After the Solstice, I traveled through Northern New Mexico and–as corny as it may sound–found myself

Back to Calleman…his end-date of human consciousness evolution is: October 11, 2011. He has mapped out the shifts (or upgrades) in consciousness through that date. These epochs alternate from “days” (periods dominated by light and creative action) and “nights” (periods during which the energies are assimilated and processed. Ok, so October 11, 2011 doesn’t sound as sexy as December 21, 2012, but he’s really onto something.

So far, all of the predictions he has amassed (energetic predictions for certain ‘vibes’ dominating different periods producing different results) have come true. I remember reading his book, “The Mayan Calendar” close to ten years ago. He spoke then of–for instance–a major global economic crash that would occur in the second half of 2008.

The last full shift pointed occurred on November 12, 2008 (the last half shift was May 11, 2009). The last shift would have ushered in a Renaissance or rebirth as it was lorded over by the deity (or energy) of the midwife and birthing. Who can forget the swell of emotion and almost otherworldly enthusiasm worldwide when it was announced that Barack Obama was the new U.S. president?

Today we enter another shift point, the gateway to a period known as the “Sixth Night” which runs through November 2, 2010. The Sixth Night is ruled by the energy (or deity) of healing of consciousness. The flowering of the “Sixth Day” (the celebration of a new U.S. and world leader, the prevalence of “hope”) is replaced by a shedding or letting go. Some dark energies (more economic downturns) plague this period however, it is also a time of healing, synthesis and preparation for the final stage of human consciousness evolution, the “Seventh Day,” which will run from November 2, 2010 to October 11, 2011.

Beyond Calleman, a neighbor of mine got me into Russian Professor Sergey Smelyakov’s Auric Time Scale research on the Mayan Calendar. He comes up with different pulses of consciousness from Calleman’s. They start from a pulse or shift widely spread apart by years, decades…and end up on December 21, 2012 with many pulses a day.

One thing is for certain, whatever Judeo-Christian religions/culture, the Hollywood studios pimping the 2012 movie and the paranoid conspiracy theorists are serving up…as far as I’m concerned it’s a large plate-ful of “False Christ.” Something is happening here! But the “here” is internal, ethereal and spiritual. It may ultimately effect the outside world but its alpha and omega is of another dimension. It could affect physicality and our DNA–activating previously dormant genes–but it is still NOT a physical phenomenon at its core

So, rather than ignore this terrifying notion of a spiritual consciousness shift–which I am guessing would ultimately cause you to have anxiety attacks and bouts of depression–I say on this day of ascension towards the “Sixth Night” that you embrace it. Open your heart and soul up. Be the womb of creation. Receive all that is being sent out to you. Don’t judge it. You don’t need to know it. It knows you. It is there to activate all of those latent powers inside of you for “good” and to ultimately make you superhuman. In this case not of the Nietzsche variety….”God” is not dead…you are becoming “God.”
