I have been hearing of more recession dining deals rampant in these meager days. And of course there are the “proof of unemployment” specials as well. But this one–at a fusion sushi spot I have always liked–takes the cake (white cake, that is). Every Friday after 6PM, Miru 8691 (home of the Cartier roll) is offering FREE drinks to patrons wearing white. Dress in white, top-to-bottom, and receive one small sake or cocktail FREE. If you and a friend come dressed head-to-toe in white, you get two small sakes or two cocktails FREE. For those renegade people who can’t seem to find even so much as eggshell in their armoire, cocktails, hot sake, Chardonnay, and Cabernet are available for a discount: just $5 after 6PM.
